DGR discriminatory policy. Partly win by Voice of Ex-Servicemen Society in Delhi High Court over the issue of discriminatory policy in resettlement schemes. A writ was filed by the Society in the honorable court challenging DGR (Directorate General Resettlement) discriminatory policy for allotment of COCO petrol Pump/CNG filling station to officers only, impaneling security agency of officers only with DGR and providing business to their security agencies and impaneling Coal loading & Transportation company of officer only with DGR to provide business. Our plea was that these resettlement schemes should be opened to all ranks and 97% of these schemes should be reserved for JCOs/NCOs/ORs as per their strengths. The opponent advocate seek time for 8 weeks to dispose of our representations as many agencies/departments are involved however, our advocate opposed strongly and urged that the DGR himself tempered in definition of Ex-Servicemen issued by DOPT by inserting ESM(0) in every schemes for benefit of commission officers only and they should delete word (0) from the every schemes. Further, our advocate urged that the discriminatory policy of DGR is also violation of fundamental rights of jcos/ncos/ors guaranteed under Constitution of India. However, the honorable court has granted 8 weeks time to DGR to dispose off our pending representations and given liberty to us to seek legal recourse if aggrieved by the decision of the DGR.
I assure all ex jcos/ncos/ors that Voice of Ex-Servicemen Society will continue to fight in court as well as on road till all types of social and economical discrimination are eliminated. Please join to strengthen the Society .
